From archaeology in caves comes some of the deepest of insights into humanity. The finger flutings of humans some tens of thousands of years ago reveal more than the art itself shows. As an expert, Leslie identifies not what it all means but reveals who these people are…in some of the most astounding ways.
Growing up with a strong mix of wild places and thorough exposure to the arts, Leslie today is an archaeologist and writer whose work focusses on the themes of intimacy, sense of place, vision and wisdom. Originally from the USA, Leslie now calls Glenorchy her home and from there she has quite a few different occupations. University professor, archaeologist, communications and culture consultant.
